Highlights
Laser cut medical cannulae with laser welded sealed end option
XL Precision Technologies have successfully implemented machining processes for cutting clean edge and precise dimension ports in tubes ranging in size from 4.0mm diameter down to 0.3mm diameter. The tubes can then be sealed at one end with a precise bull-nose form ready for polishing using fine laser welding techniques.

Industrial Laser Solutions
Closed Slot Micro-Machining
XL Precision Technologies have successfully developed a technique for machining a micro-dimension closed slot into tool or component cavities.
Utilising both spark erosion and laser machining methods, XL Precision Technologies can now offer a closed rectangular profile slot of 0.050mm wide by 50.00mm long up to 0.2mm deep.
The technique can successfully produce a 0.10mm slot x 28.0mm long and 0.3mm deep in a component wall only 0.28mm wide.
Micro-Machining of Tungsten Alloys
XL Precision Technologies has successfully developed manufacturing techniques for the highly accurate and complex machining of tungsten alloy into micro-components fitting a 3mm cube, with specific features only 0.15mm wide and requiring tolerances of +/- 0.005mm.
High Volume Wire Erosion
XL Precision Technologies has successfully developed manufacturing systems that provide customers with high volume demand and competitive cost satisfaction for precision wire-erosion components. The techniques are continuing to expand, and currently provide for over 50,000 parts per week.
